Molly O'Meara Sheehan

Molly O’Meara Sheehan is Senior Researcher at the Worldwatch Institute in Washington DC, a nonprofit research organization that analyzes global environmental and resource issues.

Her area of specialization is the urban environment and the role of information technology in solving environmental problems. She is the project director of State of the World 2007: Our Urban Future, and has contributed articles to many publications, including The Challenge of Urban Government: Policies and Practices, Advances in Solar Energy, International Herald Tribune, and Washington Post.

She has written Worldwatch Paper 156, City Limits: Putting the Brakes on Sprawl, and Worldwatch Paper 147, Reinventing Cities for People and the Planet.

She holds a Bachelor of Biology and Asian Studies from Williams College, USA, and a Master of Environmental Sciences from John Hopkins University, USA.
